Tonight’s wine is a winner both for value and the wine experience.
It’s a 2017 Shiraz Tempranillo blend titled ‘Down the Lane’ from those amazing wine masters at De Bortoli and their vineyards in Heathcote Victoria.
It’s a beautiful blend benefiting from the richness and complexity of the Shiraz and the light smooth Tempranillo grapes.
The nose is beautiful and complex, and the palate equally so.
The infamous James Halliday rates this wine at 93 points which is a high rating indeed, and it was a Dan Murphy’s Corporate recommended wine.
Best of all it’s $10.99 at Dan Murphy’s which makes it an extraordinary buy for a James Halliday 93 point wine. Don’t walk, but run to Dan Murphy’s and buy a case while you still can.
Wine Experience : 91/100
Value : 97/100
