Good Quality : 2017 Cat Amongst the Pigeons, Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon, Barossa Valley

Tonight I’m enjoying a beautiful Barossa Valley 2017 Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon from ‘Cat Amongst The Pigeons’.

This one was part of a special for Dan Murphy members (Anyone who registers with them – For Free) at $AUD 13 a bottle.

It is actually a real joy, super smooth, mouth filling, a little spice, and with a warming finish.

Value-wise at $13 this wine is a cracker, and if you have lots of Red Wine drinkers in the family you could do worse than to stock up on this one for either Presents or for Christmas Day lunch.

The Barossa is a special place, and was one of my second homes when I spent a year living in Adelaide back in 2009/2010. I especially loved driving out there in my Peugeot 308CC top down through the beautiful Gorge Road, and visiting Maggie Beer’s Farm, or having a Ploughman’s Lunch with wine at Peter Lehman’s beautiful winery.

This wine is typical of the region and most definitely goes on the Buy Again list.

Wine Experience : 90 / 100
Value : 90/100
